Surrender Your Shell es un proyecto de conservación conjunto entre WWF-Australia y el Museo Australiano, con el apoyo de Royal Caribbean International.

Se estima que se capturaron 9 millones de tortugas carey entre 1844 y 1992 con su hermoso caparazón abasteciendo a la industria del caparazón de tortuga. Surrender Your Shell es innovador y está ayudando a proteger de la caza ilegal a las tortugas carey, en peligro crítico de extinción.

Surrender Your Shell is a joint conservation project between WWF-Australia and the Australian Museum, supported by Royal Caribbean International. 

An estimated 9 million hawksbills were harvested between 1844 and 1992 with their beautiful shell supplying the tortoiseshell industry. The groundbreaking Surrender Your Shell is helping to protect today's Critically Endangered hawskbill turtles from poaching.
